The monsoon session is going to start from August 19 in the Bhararisain Vidhan Sabha Bhawan of Gairsain, the summer capital of Uttarakhand. Before the monsoon session, the Dhami government has given a big responsibility to Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal. Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal has been given the responsibility of Parliamentary Affairs Minister. The post of Parliamentary Affairs Minister was lying vacant since the resignation of former Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggarwal.

The monsoon session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly will be convened in Bhararisain between August 19 and August 22. A decision had already been taken in this regard in the cabinet meeting held on July 11, but the government did not give the responsibility of Parliamentary Affairs Minister to anyone. That is why all kinds of discussions were going on. However, all these discussions came to an end on Wednesday, August 13 evening. And Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal has been given the responsibility of Parliamentary Affairs Minister by the government. The order for which has also been issued by the Chief Minister’s Office.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has authorized Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal to answer questions related to the concerned departments during the upcoming second session. According to the order issued from the Chief Minister’s Office, the second session of the fifth assembly of Uttarakhand in the year 2025 is going to start from August 19 (Tuesday). In this session, Minister Subodh Uniyal has been authorized to answer all the legislative and parliamentary questions received from the departments related to the Chief Minister and to do the necessary work.

Let us tell you that former Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggarwal resigned from his post on March 16. Apart from the Ministry of Urban Development and the Ministry of Finance, he also had the responsibility of Parliamentary Affairs Minister. All these posts went to the Chief Minister after the resignation of Premchand Aggarwal. However, the responsibility of the Parliamentary Affairs Minister is also to answer all the questions of the opposition and the members of the House during the assembly session. Generally, the Chief Minister is rarely seen in the role of Parliamentary Affairs Minister. That is why it was expected that the government would soon give the responsibility of Parliamentary Affairs Minister to someone, on which the government took a decision on Wednesday and gave the responsibility of Parliamentary Affairs Minister to Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal.

According to the information received from the Assembly, so far about 545 questions have been sent to the Assembly by the members of the House i.e. MLAs from all over the state. The recent severe natural disaster in Dharali of Uttarkashi is a big issue in the state at this time. Political sources say that this time the monsoon session of the Assembly to be held in Bhararisain will bring many big questions for the government, in which disaster management, rehabilitation and restoration will be a big issue.
