Uttar Pradesh: Relationship shamed on Rakshabandhan day! The brother to whom she tied Rakhi in the morning raped and killed her at night

An incident that tarnished the sacred relationship of brother and sister came to light on 9th August, Raksha Bandhan, from Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh. Here, a 14-year-old girl was raped and killed by her own brother.

The girl had tied a Rakhi to her cousin (son of her real uncle) on the morning of Raksha Bandhan. The same night she became a victim of the same brother’s brutality. This drunken youth first raped the girl and then killed her by strangling her.

The incident was revealed when at around 8 am on 10th August, the girl’s father saw that his daughter did not wake up from sleep. He was sleeping in a hut outside the house. While the girl was in the verandah of the house. Her mother and two sisters had gone to Noida.

A girl from the neighbourhood was sent to jump over the wall to open the door, and the girl was lying dead inside. There were blood stains on her clothes and marks on her neck. As soon as the police got the information, they reached the spot. The postmortem report confirmed that the death was due to rape and strangulation.

This is how the crime was committed

Police investigation revealed that the accused was addicted to alcohol. On the night of the incident, he had consumed a lot of alcohol. Around midnight, he went out on the pretext of defecation and went towards the girl’s house. The father was sleeping outside and the rest of the family was not at home. The accused entered the house by jumping over the wall with the help of a drum. He first touched the girl’s body, due to which she started screaming. After this, he raped her by pressing her mouth and, fearing that the secret would be revealed, strangled her to death.

Drama to hide the crime

The accused was fond of watching crime shows like ‘Crime Patrol’. Therefore, after the incident, he tried to destroy the evidence. He also tried to cut his nails and make the incident look like a suicide. As soon as it was morning, he kept shedding crocodile tears over the death of the innocent. Kept provoking people. He even pretended to lift the body alone during the funeral.

The police already suspected the brother

But the police suspected him from the very beginning because his house was adjacent to the victim’s house. During investigation, blood stains were found on his pants. After strict interrogation, he confessed his crime.

The police arrested the accused and presented him in the court. From where he was sent to jail. A reward of ₹25,000 was also announced for the arresting team.
