Uttarakhand: Congress reached the High Court amidst the District Panchayat President elections, HC ordered Nainital Police to find the missing members

There is a lot of ruckus in the election of District Panchayat President Nainital. BJP and Congress are accusing each other of hooliganism. The first allegations came from the Congress. A video of senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya went viral. In this video, he was seen saying that Sanjeev Arya was beaten up. He was also pushed and shoved. Congress also accused them of kidnapping 5 District Panchayat members.

BJP-Congress ruckus in District Panchayat President election: Along with this, Congress reached the Nainital High Court regarding this matter. Here BJP also accused Congress of making four District Panchayat members disappear and gave a complaint to the police. On the other hand, from Dehradun, BJP’s state president Mahendra Bhatt took charge on behalf of BJP, while on behalf of Congress, former CM Harish Rawat took charge on social media.

Congress reached High Court: However, the Uttarakhand High Court heard the case of alleged kidnapping of five BDC members of Congress from the polling station in the morning in the election for the post of District Panchayat President of Nainital. After hearing the case, the division bench of Chief Justice G Narendra and Justice Alok Mehra heard both the parties.

The High Court ordered to find the missing BDC members: To know the status of the case, the court asked the SSP, District Officer and ASP to appear in the court through video conferencing. After about ten minutes, both the officers appeared through video conferencing. The court told them to conduct the voting peacefully.

The court asked for police protection to reach the polling station for the 10 BDC members who had come to the court. The five members who were accused of kidnapping by the Congress have also been asked to be found and brought to the polling station. Along with this, the court has also asked to extend the time of voting. The court has asked the District Officer and SSP to submit its report at 4:30 pm.

Congress has accused of kidnapping five BDC members: According to the case, this morning the Congress alleged that five of its BDC members have been kidnapped from the polling station. This created chaos in the polling station. Due to this, the police closed all the routes of Nainital. It is being told that kicking and punching also took place between the supporters of both the parties.

Agitated by this, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, Sanjeev Arya, Sumit Hridayesh, Bhuvan Kapri, President candidate Pushpa Negi, hundreds of her supporters including ten BDC members left the election and reached the High Court. They pleaded for justice in the High Court. Pushpa Negi said that her members have been kidnapped by opposition supporters. They should be found and given security.
