Uttarakhand: Voting begins for District Panchayat President and Block Pramukh, results may come today

Today, on 14 August 2025, voting has started for the election of District Panchayat President and Block Pramukh in Uttarakhand. Voting started at 10 am. Voting will be completed at 3 pm. After the completion of voting, the counting of votes will also take place today. It is expected that the results for the posts of District Panchayat President and Block Pramukh will also be declared by this evening or late evening. Panchayat elections have been held in the remaining 12 districts of Uttarakhand except Haridwar district. BJP has already won the posts of District Panchayat President unopposed in 5 districts. Similarly, 17 Block Pramukhs have also become unopposed from BJP. There are a total of 84 posts of Block Pramukh. Preparations for voting have been completed. No one except the candidates, election personnel and authorized officials will be able to enter within 100 meters of the polling and counting place. Let us tell you that the Uttarakhand three-tier Panchayat elections were held in two phases. The first voting was held on 24 July. The second phase of voting was completed on 28 July. Counting of votes was held on 31 July.
