According to the forecast issued by the Director of Meteorological Department Vikram Singh, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Dehradun, Bageshwar and Nainital districts on August 16. In view of which an orange alert has been issued for rain. While there may be heavy rain at some places for Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Pithoragarh and Champawat districts.
