Water level will be increased by injecting in dried hand pumps: Let us tell you that for the effective implementation of this project, an MoU was signed between International Parliamentary Studies, Research and Training Institute Bhararisain and Swami Ram Himalayan University Jollygrant on 8th July. Under the ‘Direct Injection Water Source Recharge Scheme’, groundwater level will be increased by injecting rainwater into inactive i.e. dried hand pumps.

20 hand pumps in Gairsain and Chaukhutia will be recharged and made functional: This technology has been developed by experts from Swami Ram Himalayan University Jollygrant. In the first phase of the scheme, 20 hand pumps of Gairsain and Chaukhutia development blocks will be recharged and made functional again. This effort is being considered a milestone towards a permanent solution for water management in Uttarakhand.

“The state government is working by adopting technological innovations to overcome the water crisis of the state. This is a good effort in the field of water conservation.”
