Uttarakhand: Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya and MLA Pritam Singh resigned from the Business Advisory Committee

The session of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly started today on Monday. After the proceedings of the House ended today, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee was called. In this, the agenda of the House for the next day i.e. 6 February was discussed. But the opposition walked out of the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya and senior Congress MLA Pritam Singh resigned from the committee. Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya said that the BJP government is completely violating the Constitution. The work is being done by bypassing the rules and regulations that have been made.

Congress MLA Pritam Singh accused the government of violating the Constitution. Pritam Singh said that the Assembly Secretariat has issued a letter to all the MLAs. In which there is a talk of giving information from Question Hour to adjournment of work. But, this government is neither running the Question Hour nor taking questions of adjournment of work by calling this session a special session. This session has been called specifically regarding the Uniform Civil Code.
