Uttarakhand reached second place in the country in literacy ranking, Tamil Nadu is on top, Education Minister gave information

Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat reached Mussoorie today. Here he gave information about future plans. Dhan Singh Rawat said that 37 universities have been established in the state so far. This year this number will increase to 40. He said that this year vocational classes are being started in 700 schools. Smart classes are being made compulsory in 1200 inter colleges and computer education in every school. Education Minister Dhan Singh said that work is being started in the direction of taking education out of the limited scope and bringing it to a global level.

Dhan Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand is no longer just a tourist destination, but is moving at a fast pace towards becoming a national and international center of education and health. He said that currently more than 22,000 schools are operating in Uttarakhand. Where 37 lakh students are studying. This year the number of universities in the state will increase to 40. He said that we have started work in the direction of taking education out of the limited scope and bringing it to a global level. Now foreign students are also coming to Uttarakhand for studies.

He said that in terms of literacy, Uttarakhand has now reached the second position in the whole of India. Now only Tamil Nadu is ahead of us. Next year we will leave them behind too. The state government has identified three major areas for education reform. Bringing the state universities in the global ranking, reviving the Indian knowledge tradition under the new education policy and starting vocational education from class 9th. So that students can move forward in the direction of employment along with education. He said that this year vocational classes are being started in 700 schools.

He said that now students will not be limited to bookish knowledge only. We are preparing them for the future. He said that work is also being done to bring revolution in the field of health. Dhan Singh Rawat said that a comprehensive health service campaign will be run in the state from 17 September (Prime Minister Narendra Modi Jayanti) and 2 October (Gandhi Jayanti). Under which blood donation camps will be organized at 225 places in the state. In which a target has been set to collect 1 lakh units of blood. He said that health volunteer registration of about 4 lakh youth will also be done. Health camps in 7500 Gram Sabhas of the state, where doctors themselves will go to every village and provide free checkup and medicines.

The Health Minister said that new medical colleges will start in Pithoragarh and Udham Singh Nagar by 2026. Apart from this, Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country, where the state government is getting 400 MBBS students to study PG at its own expense. It will be mandatory for these specialist doctors to serve in the state for 5 years. Due to which specialist medical facilities will be available even in the mountains and remote areas. Dhan Singh Rawat also took a political jibe and said, “What advice will those who stole votes for 70 years give now? He said that those who have been stealing votes since 1950 They kept stealing votes for 70 years, what direction will they give to the country today? Now the public is wise.
