Postal department’s cheap registry service will be closed from October 1… Parcels only through speed post

From October 1, customers will be deprived of the facility of sending parcels through cheap registry of the postal department. Till now, the facility of sending parcels through registry and speed post was provided to the customers. But after the implementation of the system, parcels will be sent only through speed post. An amount of Rs 22 has to be paid for sending a 20 gram parcel through registry. Whereas the cost of parcel through speed post has to be borne according to the distance.

Actually, after the change in the administrative functioning of the postal department, the facility of sending parcels through registry will be changed to speed post. However, departmental employees will get the benefit of this. But somewhere customers will have to be disappointed. The reason is that after sending a parcel through cheap registry, the responsibility of delivering the parcel to the person was fixed on the employee.

An amount of Rs 22 has to be paid for sending a parcel of 20 grams through registry

Apart from this, a cheaper cost has to be borne for sending a parcel to any state of the country. Whereas in speed post, the amount has to be paid according to the distance. That is, an amount of Rs 41 has to be paid for sending a parcel of 20 grams to Delhi. If you send a parcel to the southern states by speed post, you will have to pay more money.

Director Post and Services Anusuya Prasad Chamola said that after the change in the administrative work of the department, the facility of sending parcels by registered post is being discontinued. After the date fixed for the department’s decision, parcels will be sent by speed post only. He said that although the cost of registered post is less, but for sending parcels by speed post, money has to be paid according to the distance.
