Former cabinet minister and Gadarpur MLA Arvind Pandey has given a big statement on the hooliganism of mining mafia and illegal mining. The MLA said that some officers and policemen are defaming the government in connivance with the mining mafia.

The MLA met the villagers in Khushalpur, Kuikhedi, Sarovar Nagar and Kelakheda villages and listened to their problems. The villagers complained that the mining mafia, in connivance with some corrupt policemen and officers, are constantly harassing the farmers and the general public for opposing illegal mining.

Pandey inspected the illegal mining site. He said that illegal mining has been done by digging 40 to 50 feet deep pits on government land in the area. This has not only ruined fertile agricultural land, but the width of the river has also increased by about two kilometers. He warned that if this mining continues, new rivers will be formed in the coming times and the land of thousands of farmers will be ruined by flowing in the flow.

The MLA talked to Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat and Udham Singh Nagar District Magistrate Nitin Bhadoria over the phone. MLA Arvind Pandey directed that the mining mafia, police and officials involved in this illegal exploitation should be investigated and illegal mining should be stopped immediately.

Policemen are defaming the government: Pandey
Pandey said that by ignoring environmental protection and public interest, some officers and policemen are working with the mining mafia to defame the government. He clearly said that the double engine BJP government is working in public interest and this collusion will not be tolerated at any cost.
