Uttarakhand: The performance of BJP leaders was seen in the Panchayat elections, it could be a big challenge for 2027

c
There are discussions about many changes in the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttarakhand. In such a situation, there is also a discussion about the list of weak MLAs being prepared by the party. Actually, the results of the recent Panchayat elections were not as much in favor of the BJP as was expected. However, the BJP managed to win most of the posts of District Panchayat President and Block Pramukh. But in the assemblies where the BJP suffered a crushing defeat, the BJP can look at its MLAs and can also look at ticket allocation in 2027.
In the Panchayat elections, the BJP may have won the seat of District Panchayat President in 11 out of 12 districts, but if this victory is assessed, then the BJP MLAs have suffered a crushing defeat in many assemblies. Many MLAs failed to save the District Panchayat seats of their assemblies. In fact, the BJP fought the Panchayat elections held just before the political battle of the 2027 Assembly like a semi-final. Responsibility was given to MLAs in the Assembly, and to ministers at the district level. But, the ground reality removed the mask of victory from many faces.
Except Dehradun, BJP won the seats in the remaining district panchayats. But at the assembly level, many MLAs could not stand the test of the public. Now the party has prepared a report card of these faces.
Report card of these MLAs:
- Bhoopal Ram Tamta (District Chamoli, Assembly Tharali): Lost 9 out of 11 seats of district panchayat, lost 2 out of 4 block pramukh seats as well.
- Anil Nautiyal (District Chamoli, Assembly Karnaprayag): Lost 5 out of 7 seats of district panchayat member.
- Asha Nautiyal (District Rudraprayag, Assembly Kedarnath): Wiped out on 8 out of 8 seats.
- Shakti Lal Shah (District Tehri Garhwal, Assembly Ghansali): Lost 7 out of 9 seats.
- Pritam Singh Panwar (District Tehri Garhwal, Assembly Dhanaulti): Lost 7 out of 9 seats.
- Munna Singh Chauhan (District Dehradun, Assembly Vikasnagar): Lost 5 out of 6 seats.
Brij Bhushan Gairola (District Dehradun, Assembly Doiwala): Could not win a single seat. Also lost the post of Block Pramukh. - Minister Satpal Maharaj (District Pauri Garhwal, Assembly Chaubattakhal): Lost 4 out of 6 seats, also lost all three blocks.
- Fakir Ram Tamta (District Pithoragarh, Assembly Gangolihat): Lost 8 out of 9 seats. Lost both blocks.
- Mohan Singh Mahra (District Almora, Assembly Jageshwar): Lost 8 out of 9 seats.
- Sarita Arya (District Nainital, Assembly Nainital): Won only 1 seat out of 7.
The party is now going to review this report card in depth. Also, the MLAs will be asked the reason for the defeat and new targets will be given. Overall, this report card of the Panchayat elections has created a stir in the internal politics of BJP. In such a situation, it seems that this report card of the MLAs can also be considered as a boon for 2027.
