Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached flood-affected Laksar and Haridwar by tractor to take stock of the situation. To inspect the flood-affected areas, CM Dhami also boarded a boat and reached among the people and listened to their problems.

CM Dhami tweeted on his official X handle that he did a ground inspection of the flood-affected areas of Laksar (Haridwar) with the help of tractor and boat. During this, he met the local people and listened to their problems and assured them for effective conduct of relief work.
Also directed the officials to expedite the relief and rehabilitation work immediately and ensure proper arrangements for the safety, accommodation, food and health facilities of the affected people. He also directed to start the compensation process soon by quickly assessing the crop damage to the farmers.
Instructions to expedite relief and rehabilitation work
It was told from the CM office that despite the difficult conditions, the Chief Minister did a ground inspection of the rural and submerged areas through a tractor and interacted with the affected families and inquired about their problems. The Chief Minister directed the district administration and disaster management officials present on the spot to expedite the relief and rehabilitation work. He said that arrangements should be made for the safety, housing, food and health facilities of the affected families. He made it clear that any kind of negligence in relief work will not be tolerated.
Chief Minister Dhami said that the state government stands with every affected citizen in this hour of crisis. Rescue and relief operations will be given priority and all possible assistance will be provided to the affected families. During the inspection, the Chief Minister took stock of waterlogging, damaged roads, broken bridges and houses surrounded by water.
Farmers will get compensation in case of crop loss
The CM said that there should be adequate arrangements for relief camps, in which food, water, medicines and sanitation facilities are available. Families who need to be moved to a safe place should be shifted immediately. The compensation process should be started soon by quickly assessing the crop loss suffered by the farmers. Medical facilities should be ensured by setting up health camps as per the need.
