Once again a heart-wrenching scene has come to light from the Seemant Manch area. The pain of not having a road here was so heavy that the villagers had to carry the body of an old man on their shoulders by walking 12 kilometers to bring him to the village.

The old man’s breath stopped while being taken from the hospital to home

According to the information, Santosh Singh (65), a resident of Khatgiri Tok, was ill for the last several days. He was being treated at the district hospital. Even after the treatment, his condition kept deteriorating. On Monday, the family was taking him back home from the hospital when he stopped breathing on the way.

The body was carried to the village on the shoulders

After completing a journey of about 30 km by vehicle, the body was carried to the village on the shoulders due to lack of further path. The youth of the village toiled for four hours amid rain and slippery trails and carried the body on their shoulders to the village.

Road proposal is pending since 2003

Villagers say that due to lack of road, it becomes difficult to take the sick to the hospital, the lives of pregnant women are in danger and now it has become a compulsion to carry even the dead on the shoulders. It is being told that the road proposal in this area is pending since 2003. However, this month the survey has been started again under the PM Gram Sadak Yojana.
