Uttarakhand: Senior BJP MLA forced to protest in his own government! Set up camp in front of police station

These days, BJP leaders have to sit on dharna against the officers in their own government. Senior BJP leader and Kaladhungi MLA Banshidhar Bhagat sat on a dharna against the police in Haldwani police station. He made serious allegations against the police.

Nainital police is in a lot of discussions these days. One matter does not settle down that another controversy arises somewhere. After the ruckus in Nainital during the district panchayat elections, cases are continuously coming against the police. On Friday, while BJP district minister Vipin Pandey created a ruckus in Haldwani’s Mukhani police station, calling the case filed against him wrong, today Kaladhungi MLA Banshidhar Bhagat opened a front against the police in the police station.

Former cabinet minister, former BJP state president and seven-time MLA Banshidhar Bhagat sat on a dharna outside Haldwani police station with his supporters on Saturday. He made many serious allegations against the police.

MLA Banshidhar Bhagat alleges that the BJP councilor has been mistreated by the policemen. The police tried a lot to convince MLA Banshidhar Bhagat, but he was not ready to listen to anyone. Banshidhar Bhagat demands that his dharna will continue until action is taken against the policemen who misbehaved with the BJP councilor.

MLA Banshidhar Bhagat alleges that first the policemen and officers misbehaved with the BJP councilor and then the police treated him like a criminal. Not only this, the police also picked up the BJP councilor from his house late at night and kept him in the police station till the next day.

MLA Banshidhar Bhagat alleges that the drug business is continuously increasing in Haldwani area, but instead of stopping it, the police is harassing the people of BJP. There is a BJP government in the state, yet the police is behaving like this with their leaders. Banshidhar says that he will sit on dharna until the entire staff of the police station is changed.

At the same time, BJP councilor Amit Bisht told that there was a dispute about the street light two days ago, about which he also informed the police. But after a while, some people pelted stones at his hotel. Apart from this, they also tried to assault him. He somehow intervened, but some people made a video of the same incident and made it viral in a wrong way. On the basis of the viral video, the police picked him up on the charge of assault and brought him to the police station, where the police also misbehaved with him.

On the other hand, Banshidhar Bhagat says that his protest will continue until a senior police officer comes forward and all the staff of the police station is not changed. However, on the assurance of the police, the MLA ended his protest. In this entire matter, SSP Nainital Prahlad Narayan Meena says that the entire matter is being investigated, action will be taken against whichever policeman is found guilty.
