Two Bangladeshi women have been arrested in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. They were arrested by a team of police, LIU, and SOG during a verification operation in the Pooja Vihar, Chandrabani area. They were residing illegally. Legal action will now be taken against both Bangladeshi women. Previously, five Bangladeshi nationals were arrested and deported under Operation Kalanemi. Seven Bangladeshi nationals have been charged and sent to jail.

In Dehradun, SSP Ajay Singh has instructed all station heads to conduct verification operations in their respective areas. Operation Kalanemi is also conducting checks against fake babas who exploit people’s sentiments in the name of religion and deceive them by using false disguises and greed.

Women were living illegally in Dehradun: Under this, a joint team of police, LIU and SOG, under the Patel Nagar police station area, found two suspicious women, Yasmin and Rashida Begum, in Pooja Vihar during a checking operation. After rigorous interrogation and search, both women were found to be Bangladeshi citizens and were living illegally.

Entered India from the West Bengal border, Bangladeshi identity cards etc. recovered: The women have admitted to illegally entering the Indian border from the West Bengal border. Bangladeshi identity cards and family register details were also recovered from both of them. Based on this, action is being taken to deport both Bangladeshi women citizens to Bangladesh as per the rules.

Additionally, seven Bangladeshi nationals have been booked and sent to jail. It should be noted that several Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested before, who were found living illegally under false pretenses. However, since Operation Kalanemi, many imposters have been exposed, including Bangladeshi nationals considered a threat to the country’s internal security. The police say that a verification campaign will be conducted and action will be taken against the suspects.
