The city is often plagued by stray dogs. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has implemented stricter rules regarding stray dogs, which may sound quite strange. People are soon going to be relieved of stray dogs. The Yogi government has issued an order that states that if a stray dog bites people twice, it will be sentenced to life imprisonment. Yes, you heard that right.

Now, dogs will also face life imprisonment!

In view of the increasing number of dog bites, this order has been issued to all municipal bodies. The state government has also established a unique punishment for aggressive and violent dogs.

10-Day Imprisonment for First Bite

According to the order issued by the Yogi government’s Urban Development Department, if a dog bites a person for the first time, the dog will be sentenced to 10 days. This means the biting dog will be placed in an Animal Birth Control (ABC) center. However, if the same dog bites a second time, a three-member team will investigate the matter to determine the cause of the attack.

If the dog bites a second time, it will be sentenced to life imprisonment!

The dog will be kept in the ABC Center for life, which essentially means it will be sentenced to life imprisonment. The dog will only be released if someone officially adopts it.

Microchips will be implanted in the dogs’ bodies

However, certain conditions apply to the punishment for dogs that have become violent. The victim must provide a certificate of treatment at a government hospital. Only after this will the dog be kept in the ABC Center. Along with treatment, the dog will also be monitored. Upon release after 10 days, a microchip will be implanted in the dog’s body, which will allow for monitoring. Anti-rabies vaccines will also be administered to the dogs at the ABC Center. The dog’s health and behavior will also be monitored.
