The “Fit Uttarakhand” campaign is set to launch in Uttarakhand on September 18th. Sports Minister Rekha Arya reviewed this and several other initiatives at a meeting of the Sports Department on Tuesday.

Competitions to be held to connect with the app and portal
After the meeting, the minister stated that preparations for the “Fit Uttarakhand” campaign had been underway for a long time. On September 18th, CM Dhami will launch its dedicated portal and mobile app. Following this, various exciting competitions will be held until October 2nd to connect thousands of people from all age groups in the state with the app and portal.

Prizes to be awarded
Sports Minister Rekha Arya stated that prizes will also be awarded to the winners of the competitions. The Fit Uttarakhand Campaign is being launched to raise awareness about health and fitness among people of all age groups.

Khel Mahakumbh to be held in a new format
Minister Rekha Arya informed that the sports event, known as the “Khel Mahakumbh,” will be held in a new format this year. It will be called the CM Cup. Competitions will be held from the Panchayat level to the state level. The event is scheduled to begin on October 1st.

Instructions given to arrange for honorarium for contract coaches
In the meeting, the Minister directed officials to make advance budgetary arrangements for the Chief Minister’s Emerging Player Upgradation Scheme and the Player Incentive Scheme, so that funds can be disbursed to players in a timely manner. Instructions were also given to advance budgetary arrangements for the honorarium of contract coaches appointed by the Sports Department.
