The wife-victim organization Paurush decided to perform the “Shurpanakha Dahan” at the Mahalaxmi Mela Ground. The organization believes it’s important to highlight female criminals who brutally killed their husbands and children.
Shurpanakha Dahan! This time, Sonam Raghuvanshi’s effigy will be burned on Dussehra
The organization has prepared 11-faced effigies, which will feature posters of female criminals who murdered their family members. The most famous name among them is Sonam. This is the same Sonam who planned the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, by taking him to Shillong on their honeymoon.
Sonam’s face will be used in place of Ravana in this burning ceremony. Posters for this event, titled “Modern Kaliyuga Shurpanakha,” are going viral everywhere.
Decision of the Association of Wife-Afflicted Men
According to the Association of Wife-Afflicted Men, no voice has been raised against the atrocities against men for years. Therefore, instead of Ravana, effigies of women who have tarnished family life will be burned. The event will be held on October 2nd at 6:30 p.m.
Sonam’s Bail Application Filed
Considering the high-profile Shillong honeymoon murder case, Sonam has already appealed to the court for bail. The East Khasi Hills Police filed a nearly 790-page charge sheet in this case. Objecting to several flaws in this charge sheet, Sonam’s lawyer has filed a bail application in the court. The case will be heard in the local court soon.
