The accused’s name is Sukhjeet Singh Sonu. Rupinder was a divorcee and had lived in the United States for several years. She had come to India to get married. According to reports, the murder was plotted by a man named Charanjit Singh Grewal. The woman was first strangled and then burned.

According to reports, this is the man the woman had come to marry. Charanjit Singh is currently in England and had been in contact with her for some time. Police will soon reveal more details about this case. Ludhiana police have named the suspects in the FIR filed after the woman’s disappearance, which only led to the discovery of the entire incident.
The accused told police during interrogation that Grewal allegedly planned the woman’s murder. Sukhjeet Singh, the murderer, has confessed to the woman’s murder. During interrogation, he revealed that the entire plan was made to defraud the woman by promising marriage. Sonu wanted to defraud the woman of lakhs of rupees. The woman had also deposited large amounts into Sonu and his brother’s bank accounts. Police are attempting to locate the deceased woman’s skeletal remains.
