Russia has launched another major attack on various Ukrainian cities. The Russian military launched a massive missile and drone strike targeting various regions of Ukraine early Saturday, killing at least three people and injuring several others. According to Ukrainian officials, Russia launched a massive attack using at least 619 drones and more than 50 ballistic and cruise missiles.
Several Ukrainian regions devastated
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the attacks occurred in nine regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, Poltava, Kyiv, Odessa, Sumy, and Kharkiv. “The enemy’s targets were our infrastructure, residential areas, and non-governmental establishments,” he said. He added that a missile equipped with cluster munitions struck a multi-story building in the city of Dnipro. “Each such attack is not a military necessity, but part of Russia’s deliberate strategy to intimidate civilians and destroy our infrastructure,” he said in a statement on his official Telegram account.
Zelensky to raise issue with Trump at UN meeting
Zelensky said he hopes to meet with US President Donald Trump next week during the UN General Assembly. He also said that separate talks are likely between the first ladies of Ukraine and the US on humanitarian issues related to children. Local governor Serhiy Lysak said at least 26 people were injured in the attack in the central Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine. Several high-rise buildings and houses were damaged in the eastern city of Dnipro. The Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement that Russia fired 619 drones and missiles. A total of 579 drones, eight ballistic missiles, and 32 cruise missiles were detected.

The Russian Defense Ministry denied that its aircraft violated Estonian airspace, while the Estonian government reported that three fighter jets entered Estonian airspace without permission on Friday and hovered over it for 12 minutes.
On Friday, Estonian officials said the government summoned a Russian diplomat to protest and proposed “starting consultations between allies” under NATO’s Article 4, which states that allied parties will consult whenever territorial integrity, political independence, or security are threatened.
