Uttarakhand: CM Dhami reached Maa Dhari Devi in the hour of disaster, performed puja for the safety of the people of the state

Amid the ongoing heavy rainfall and severe disaster situation in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Dhari Devi Temple today. The Chief Minister arrived at the Dhari Devi Temple in Pauri district on Saturday after reviewing the disaster-affected areas in Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts.
He performed special prayers for the safety, health, happiness, prosperity, and relief from natural disasters for the people of the state. He said, “Mother Dhari Devi is the revered deity of the state, and I have come to her feet in this hour of crisis with the well-being of all Uttarakhand.”
CM interacts with local people and traders
After the prayers, the Chief Minister interacted with local citizens, traders, pilgrims, and temple committee officials at the temple complex. He inquired about the problems in the area and assured them that the state government is continuously striving to provide relief to all those in need.
CM inspects the Alaknanda River banks
The CM inspected the temple complex and the Alaknanda River banks. The CM gave clear instructions that construction of concrete protective walls on both banks of the river should begin soon to prevent soil erosion. He directed officials to ensure no compromise on safety standards and to ensure quality and transparency in the work.
The government stands shoulder to shoulder with the victims
CM Dhami stated that the state government stands with every affected person in this difficult time of disaster. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out on a war footing. The CM said, “Our resolve is to reach out to every victim, understand their needs, and help them return to normal life.”
