Uttarakhand / Dehradun: An ambulance caught fire on the Lachhiwala flyover in Doiwala, causing panic

Chaos erupted on Dehradun’s Lachhiwala flyover when an ambulance carrying a patient from Pauri Srinagar Base Hospital to Dehradun suddenly caught fire. The ambulance was completely engulfed in flames within seconds.

The incident is reported to have occurred around 7 p.m. on Saturday evening. According to reports, a patient and a driver were aboard the ambulance at the time of the accident. Smoke reportedly suddenly began to billow from the ambulance, and the ambulance quickly caught fire, causing widespread panic at the scene.

Patient shifted to another vehicle
The patient was quickly shifted to the vehicle of a family member traveling behind the ambulance. Upon receiving information about the incident, the fire department arrived at the scene and, after considerable effort, the fire was brought under control. However, by then, the ambulance had been completely engulfed in flames. The accident has raised questions about ambulance safety standards.
