New GST rates are set to be implemented across the country on Monday, September 21st. Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya stated that this decision will be a major relief, especially for the middle and poor classes.

Women will get relief due to reduced kitchen expenses: Minister
Rekha Arya stated that the changes made by the central government in the GST slabs will reduce inflation and increase the purchasing power of ordinary families. The minister stated that the reduction in kitchen and household expenses will leave women with more money, strengthening their families’ financial situation.

Local industries will get a boost
The minister further stated that the new rates will further attract citizens to indigenous products. This will not only boost local industries but will also strengthen the country’s economy in the long run. He stated that this will energize the Indian industry and accelerate the goal of a self-reliant India.

CM has already given instructions to launch a public awareness campaign
It should be noted that CM Dhami has also interacted with state ministers, MLAs, and other public representatives through virtual medium. In this, he urged all public representatives to conduct awareness programs in their respective areas from September 22nd to 29th. During this period, ministers in charge will lead the campaign in their respective districts, and MLAs in their respective assembly constituencies.
