The killer has been identified as Suraj Uttam. The young man lives in Harikheda, Bidanki, Fatehpur. He was in a relationship with a girl named Akanksha. They met on Instagram. They grew close and began living together. Suraj suspected that his girlfriend was having an affair with another man.
A quarrel ensued, and he killed her. With the help of his friend Ashish, Suraj disposed of the body. Both have been jailed by the police. Police are searching for the young woman’s body. The body has not yet been found.

Police said that Vijayshree, a resident of Sujanipur village in Rura, Kanpur Dehat, had filed a kidnapping report for her daughter, 20-year-old Akanksha alias Mahi. She worked with her older sister at the Good Food restaurant in Barra. The accused also previously worked there. The two became friends on Instagram.
