In the Alikhan area of ​​Kashipur, some people took to the streets and took out a procession without permission, carrying banners that read “I Love Mohammad.” The crowd had not obtained permission from the administration, nor was the police aware of it. The crowd quickly grew, and chaos ensued.

People in the procession assaulted and pelted policemen with stones. A video of this incident is going viral on social media. However, the most important aspect of this entire incident was the police’s prompt and prudential response. Otherwise, the situation could have spiraled out of control.

Police brought the situation under control
As soon as the police received information about people protesting on the streets, they were informed. On the SSP’s instructions, SP City Abhay Singh immediately arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control with his presence of mind. A large police force took charge, and within a few hours, the situation was brought under control. Due to the swift police action, there was no major loss of life in the city.
