The Governor inaugurated the 'Bhagirath Udyan'

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (retd) inaugurated the “Bhagirath Udyan” on the Raj Bhavan campus on Monday. On this occasion, he also unveiled a magnificent statue of the great King Bhagiratha installed in the garden. Chief Minister Dhami was also present with him during the event.

The approximately 10-foot-tall statue in the “Bhagirath Udyan” at Raj Bhavan is installed on an 8-foot-high granite platform. It was created by renowned Haridwar artist Shivam Chaurasia using fiber and resin. Various species of plants have been planted alongside the statue in the garden, providing it with an environment filled with greenery and spirituality.

Governor commended the officers and staff
On this occasion, the Governor said that this statue is not just a monument, but a living pillar of inspiration. He said that the stars, nature, temples, and mountains here together convey the message of a divine resolve that when the goal is public welfare, both divinity and nature pave the way. The Governor praised the officials and employees who prepared this garden.

The statue will convey the message of dedication to every citizen visiting the Raj Bhavan: CM
Chief Minister Dhami, who was present at the event, said in his address that this statue will continue to convey the message of dedication, public welfare, and Indian culture to every citizen and guest visiting the Raj Bhavan. He said that this statue will always remind us that ‘Bhagirath Prayatna’ is the path to achieving great goals.
