Uttarakhand: CM Dhami launches digital classrooms, 24 schools to go hi-tech

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Uttarakhand CSR Dialogue program at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday. On this occasion, he also virtually inaugurated a digital classroom at the primary school in Chief Minister Adarsh ​​Gram Sarkot.

At the event, an MoU was signed with Axis Bank Group to digitize 24 schools in the state and with Toyota to conduct CSR activities in the areas of education, health, environmental protection, and community empowerment. The Chief Minister noted that prestigious corporate houses in the country are making commendable contributions in Uttarakhand in areas such as education, health, sanitation, and environmental protection as part of their social responsibility. He noted that several companies, including IIFCL, Mankind, Avana Foundation, Toyota, Nestle, THDC, IRCTC, HDFC, and Britannia, are carrying out social activities in the state.

Investment proposals worth ₹1 lakh crore implemented: CM
CM Dhami stated that a Global Investors Summit was held in 2023 to promote investment, and investment proposals worth ₹3.56 lakh crore were received. Of these, approximately ₹1 lakh crore have been implemented so far. The state government has implemented more than 30 policies, including those related to industrial, logistics, startup, and MSME sectors, to provide a better environment for industry. CM Dhami stated that incubation centers have been established to promote startups and a ₹200 crore venture fund has been created.
