The second day of Ramlila concluded with great fanfare at the Bhuvaneshwar Mahadev Temple and the Karnataka Ramlila Samiti Khola in Almora. The second day’s play featured key stories such as the Dasharatha-Viswamitra dialogue, the massacre by Tadika, the destruction of the sages’ yagna, the killing of Tadika, the battle between Maricha and Subahu and Rama and Lakshmana, the killing of Subahu, the rescue of Ahalya, and the worship of Gauri, which captivated the audience.
The second day of Ramlila saw the performances of the actors win over the audience
The performances of Tadika and Subahu-Maricha created a special thrill in the second day’s play. The scenes of Rama and Lakshmana’s battle with Maricha and Subahu and the rescue of Ahalya were the main attractions for the audience. Rashmi Kandpal played the role of Rama, Komal Joshi played Lakshmana, Vaishnavi Pawar played Sita, Chiranjeevi Lal Verma played Dasharatha, and S.S. Kapkoti played Vishwamitra.
Himanshi Adhikari, Payal Kandpal, and Nisha Kandpal, playing the role of Tadika, captivated the audience with their powerful performances. Amar Bora played Subahu, Abhishek Tiwari played Marich, Geetanjali Pandey played Ahalya, and Pratyaksha Malhotra played Gauri. Viewers from across the country and abroad, who tuned in online, also praised the Ramlila through social media.
Mayor Praises Founder and Coordinator of Ramlila Committee
The audience praised Bittu Karnataka, founder and coordinator of Ramlila Committee, for his excellent staging of Ramlila. Mayor Ajay Verma was the chief guest at the event.
