Uttarakhand gets a major gift, over Rs 27 crore approved for temple development and disaster relief

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a significant amount of funding for the beautification of religious sites and disaster relief work in Uttarakhand. Under CM Dhami’s announcement, relief packages have been approved for the development of temples and public facilities in several districts, as well as for disaster-affected areas.
Beautification near Mahasu Devta Temple
₹99 lakh has been approved for the beautification and construction of a public toilet near the Mahasu Devta Temple in Bamsu village of Gram Panchayat Odatha in Mori block of Purola assembly constituency of Uttarkashi. Similarly, ₹1 crore has been approved for the beautification and construction of a toilet at the Mahasu Devta Temple in Thdiyar, Mori block.
27 lakh rupees approved for Shiva temple in Madkot village
27 lakh rupees have been approved for the beautification of the Shiva temple in Madkot village in the Dharchula assembly constituency of Pithoragarh district, and 1.50 crore rupees have been approved for the beautification of the Sati Shiromani Mata Anasuya temple in the Badrinath assembly constituency of Chamoli district.
15 crore rupees for disaster losses
In addition, the Chief Minister has approved a relief package to compensate for the losses caused by natural disasters during the 2025 monsoon season. 15 crore rupees will be allocated for Pithoragarh under the repair and reconstruction headline. For Chamoli district, 5 crore rupees have been approved for relief and rescue operations and 5 crore rupees for repair and reconstruction, bringing the total to 10 crore rupees.
