Amid the tussle over seat-sharing within the NDA, the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) has submitted its list of 15 seats to the BJP’s central leadership. HAM patron and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi met with BJP National President JP Nadda in New Delhi on Saturday at around 3 pm.

In this, Manjhi informed the BJP leadership of his party’s preferred seats. Amid the ongoing dispute between Chirag Paswan’s LJP (R) and HAM over selected seats, the party has made it clear that it is not willing to give up its won seats under any circumstances.

In the last election, HAM contested seven seats, including Barachatti, Tikari, and Imamganj in Gaya, and won the Sikandra seat in Jamui. This time, the entry of LJP (R) into the NDA has disrupted the seat calculations.

According to sources, Chirag Paswan is demanding HAM’s won seats, Imamganj and Sikandra, for his party, while HAM is not willing to give them up under any circumstances.

According to sources, the list of 15 seats submitted by Manjhi includes a majority of Gaya’s assembly seats. Last time, HAM fielded candidates in Barachatti, Tikari, Imamganj, and Sikandra, along with Makhdumpur in Jehanabad, Kutumba in Aurangabad, and Kasba in Purnia.

This time, in addition to these seats, Manjhi has also sought Guraru, Atri, and Bodhgaya seats in Gaya for his party HAM. He has also staked his claim on seats like Simri, Bakhtiyarpur, and Bakhri.

Party’s stance is sometimes harsh, sometimes harsh
HAM’s stance on the seat-sharing issue within the NDA has been sometimes harsh and sometimes harsh. Speaking to the media at Patna airport while leaving for New Delhi on Saturday morning after returning from Assam, Manjhi said that a decision on seat-sharing is yet to be made. Discussions have taken place here and will take place there as well.

All NDA leaders and partners are in Delhi. We are also following suit. We don’t know anything yet. We are a disciplined party. We will contest as many seats as we are offered. Meanwhile, the party’s national general secretary, Rajesh Pandey, said that the party has informed NDA leaders of its demands. There are no permanent friends or enemies in politics.

All options are open for the party. However, he also said that meetings are ongoing and he hopes positive results will emerge soon.
