A case of fraud (Section 420) has been filed against seven people, including District Panchayat President Deepa Darmwal and Harendra Kunjwal, son of former Assembly Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal. This case is said to be related to the illegal purchase and sale of government land in Devla Talla Pajaya village in the Gaulapar area.
Former Assembly Speaker’s son also included among the accused
According to information received, the son of former Assembly Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal is also among the accused. This land scam was investigated by the Land Fraud Committee of the Commissioner and Inspector General. The order to file the case was issued after irregularities were found in the committee’s report.
The case involves the purchase of government land
The police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation. It is reported that government land was sold and sold under the guise of private property, resulting in a revenue loss of crores of rupees to the government. Regarding the matter, SP City Prakash Arya stated that other relevant documents are being examined.
Investigation Begins
SP City Prakash Arya stated that a case has been registered against all the accused under sections related to fraud, forgery, and conspiracy. RTI activist Ravi Shankar Joshi filed a complaint with the Land Fraud Committee regarding this land scam, following which the case was filed.

RTI activist Ravi Shankar Joshi stated that the District Magistrate had ordered the SDM to immediately take possession of the land. Despite this, the land has not yet been taken possession of, and the administration’s role in this entire matter appears suspicious.
