Anger in Nainital over the Circle Rate Hike
People submitted a memorandum to the Registrar to register their protest against the steep increase in circle rates for various areas of Haldwani city. Congress leader Lalit Joshi said that food, clothing, and shelter are the basic needs of every person. Therefore, if someone wants to buy a piece of land in the city and build a house, the government has shattered this dream of the common man.
A public meeting will be held on October 15th
Joshi said that the state government has recently increased the circle rates of land. The rates have been increased by up to 400 times, which is unjustified. Therefore, a memorandum is being sent to the Chief Minister through the Registrar to register the protest. Joshi said that a public meeting has been organised on October 15 in which the strategy for further movement will be made.
