Uttarakhand: Haldwani gets a big gift before Diwali, city buses to run in the city, CM flags off

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is currently on a tour of Kumaon. On Tuesday, October 14th, CM Dhami arrived in Haldwani, the Nainital district headquarters. In Haldwani, CM Dhami flagged off six new city buses. These buses will operate on various routes in the city, providing better transportation facilities to the public and relieving traffic congestion.
On this occasion, CM Dhami stated that this service is a major step for the people of Haldwani, providing affordable, accessible, and safe transportation. This initiative will reduce traffic pressure in the city, reduce pollution, and promote energy conservation.
Transport Department officials stated that the city bus service will be launched in a phased manner on major routes in the city, ensuring maximum benefit to local residents, students, and working professionals.
In addition, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also made a significant statement regarding the demographic landscape (population structure). He clearly stated that any interference with the state’s cultural identity and demographic balance will not be tolerated.
Concern over demographic change: The Chief Minister stated that Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi and its socio-cultural fabric will not be allowed to deteriorate at any cost. Expressing concern over the demographic changes taking place in many parts of the state, including the Pachhadun region of Dehradun, the Chief Minister stated that the government will no longer ignore any such changes.
Instructions given to all District Magistrates: He stated that the state government has instructed all District Magistrates to closely monitor the demographic patterns in their respective districts. CM Dhami directed that ineligible individuals be identified based on documents such as ration cards, Aadhaar cards, electricity connections, and family registers, and that strict legal action be taken against those who are misappropriating benefits of government schemes.
Targeting previous Congress governments: The Chief Minister also targeted the previous Congress government. He said that due to the negligence of previous governments, population imbalances arose in many places, but now the state government is taking strict action.
There will be no compromise on the state’s population structure and cultural values. We have instructed all district magistrates to be vigilant about demographic changes and take immediate legal action against those who are ineligible to receive government benefits.
