Uttarakhand: Under the pilgrimage scheme, 32 devotees will undertake a five-day journey, CM Dhami left for Gangotri Dham.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off a group of 32 pilgrims for Gangotri Dham under the state government’s Matri-Pitru Teerth Yatra Yojana. At a program held at the Haldwani Circuit House on Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wished all the pilgrims a safe, pleasant, and auspicious journey. The Chief Minister stated that the objective of the Matri-Pitru Teerth Yatra Yojana, run by the state government for senior citizens, is to provide them with the opportunity to visit religious sites and instill spiritual peace and joy in their lives.
This group of pilgrims, embarking on a five-day pilgrimage, includes 19 women and 13 men. The pilgrims will visit various sacred religious sites along the route, including Gangotri Dham. Accommodation and food arrangements for these pilgrims have been made at the tourist accommodation centers of the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam.
On this occasion, MLA Banshidhar Bhagat (Kaladhungi) and Ram Singh Kaida (Bhimtal), BJP District President Pratap Bisht, various officials in the state government, Kumaon Division Commissioner Deepak Rawat, IG Mrs. Riddhim Agarwal and many public representatives and officials were present.
