Uttarakhand: The Chief Minister fulfilled the demands of the Chaukhutia protesters! The 30-bed CHC will be converted into a sub-district hospital

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the Health Secretary to take timely action to ensure that health services in Chaukhutia are in line with public sentiment. In this regard, the Chief Minister announced the conversion of the 30-bed Community Health Center (CHC) into a 50-bed SDH.

A 30-bed hospital operates in Chaukhutia

The Director General of Medical Health stated that a 30-bed hospital currently operates at CHC Chaukhutia. The hospital has an OPD of 150 to 200 patients daily. Additionally, the female medical officer delivers 30 to 35 pregnant women each month.

The Director General of Medical Health stated that the hospital currently employs seven doctors, including three female and four male doctors, including a dentist. He added that with government support, Chandan Diagnostics provides approximately 70 to 80 diagnostic tests daily free of charge.

A Protest in Chaukhutia Over Poor Healthcare

People in the Chaukhutia area are deeply angered by the poor healthcare system. A protest has been ongoing in the area for the past 14 days over the poor healthcare system. Following this, the government has announced the conversion of the 30-bed CHC into a 50-bed SDH. The government has also issued an order in this regard.
