Dhami begins campaigning in Bihar, campaigns for the BJP in several assembly constituencies, calling the opposition corrupt

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami began his campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections on Friday. On the first day, he held public meetings and road shows in the Siwan, Goriyakothi, and Warsaliganj assembly constituencies, appealing for votes in favor of the BJP candidates.
Chief Minister Dhami participated in the nomination and blessing processions of BJP candidates Aruna Devi from the Warsaliganj seat in Nawada district, Deveshkant Singh from Goriyakothi, and Bihar government cabinet minister Mangal Pandey from Siwan. Thousands of people gathered to welcome him. The Chief Minister’s popularity and his Hindutva image were clearly visible on the streets of Bihar.
In his address, Chief Minister Dhami said that the NDA government has undertaken numerous development works in Bihar, and if re-elected, the state will write a new development story under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He attacked the RJD and Congress, saying that these parties have a history of corruption and nepotism and want to reinstate jungle raj in Bihar. He said, “There is a competition of corruption between the Lalu family and the Gandhi family.”
Discussing the Uttarakhand model, calling Bihar the land of knowledge
Referring to the anti-copying, anti-conversion, and anti-riot laws implemented by the Uttarakhand government, Dhami said that Uttarakhand is the land of gods and Bihar the land of knowledge. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country is progressing rapidly in areas such as education, health, roads, and infrastructure.
Listed the benefits of central and state schemes
The Chief Minister stated that 85 million people in Bihar are benefiting from the free ration scheme, while more than 5 million poor families have received permanent houses. Every household has access to tap water, toilets, and electricity. He said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, more than 300 million people have come out of the poverty line. Speaking about women’s empowerment, he stated that under the Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme, more than 75 lakh women have been provided financial assistance of ₹10,000.
Calling the BJP a symbol of development, he attacked the opposition
Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, work is underway to make Bihar a developed state. He said, “On one side is the BJP, which practices the politics of development, and on the other, there are the Congress and RJD, which practice the politics of corruption, nepotism, and appeasement.” He appealed to the public to uproot such parties from Bihar and ensure the BJP’s victory.
A grand welcome upon arrival in Bihar
Chief Minister Dhami was warmly welcomed by BJP officials and workers upon his arrival in Bihar. He also met Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and former Union Minister and MP Anurag Thakur.
