Uttarakhand: Health department on alert mode for Diwali, CM Dhami instructed to be prepared 24 hours a day

On the occasion of Diwali, the Uttarakhand government has issued instructions to keep the state’s healthcare system fully active and vigilant. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has ordered medical institutions in all districts to be put on alert mode to respond promptly to any emergencies.

The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that healthcare services are fully prepared 24/7 to deal with fires, road accidents, or other emergencies during Diwali. To this end, hospitals, ambulance services, and emergency medical units have been put on high alert.

Adequate number of medical personnel deployed in hospitals: CM
The CM informed that the state government has deployed adequate number of medical personnel. All hospitals have adequate stock of essential medicines and equipment, and blood banks and burn units are fully functional. He stated that public safety is the government’s top priority and preparations should be continuously reviewed in each district.

CMOs of all districts have been instructed to remain vigilant 24/7
Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar stated that all district magistrates and chief medical officers have been instructed to remain on 24×7 alert mode during the festivals. He added that hospitals, trauma centers, and control rooms have been fully activated to account for the potential for fires, accidents, and health emergencies during the festivals.
