A ‘major explosion’ in the grand alliance! Did the RJD’s one condition and the alliance fall apart? A major hint from Delhi

Just before the Bihar Assembly elections, the strife within the opposition Grand Alliance has surfaced. The conflict between the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) over seat-sharing and the Chief Ministerial candidate has escalated to the point where the alliance is on the verge of collapse. The focal point of this major conflict has become the Kutumba (reserved) Assembly seat in Aurangabad. The RJD has decided to field its own candidate against Congress state president Rajesh Ram, potentially scuttling the alliance’s remaining hopes.

The Kutumba seat has become the biggest test of the Grand Alliance’s unity. If the RJD contests against the Congress candidate here, the alliance’s “on ventilator” equation could collapse at any time.

The issue of the Chief Minister’s face is stuck, negotiations have stopped
According to sources, Congress’s Bihar in-charge, Krishna Allavaru, has demanded at least 61 seats from the RJD. In response, the RJD has imposed the condition that Congress must first declare Tejashwi Yadav as its Chief Ministerial candidate before further discussions on seats can take place. This condition has escalated tensions between the two parties, and negotiations have completely ceased. This impasse has now escalated from a friendly fight to an open war in several seats, where both parties have fielded candidates against each other.

Kutumba Becomes a Seat of Prestige
This rift in the Grand Alliance is most clearly visible in the Kutumba seat. This seat is considered the traditional seat of Congress state president Rajesh Ram, and he is scheduled to file his nomination from here tomorrow. However, the RJD has prepared to field former minister Suresh Paswan against him, who has already begun campaigning in the area. The Congress views this as a direct attack on its top leadership.

This could be the final nail in the alliance’s coffin
Sources say that if the RJD fields its candidate in Kutumba, it could be the final nail in the alliance’s coffin. The Bihar Congress has informed the Delhi high command about this matter, but the central leadership has refused to intervene for now, allowing the state unit to make its own decisions. While the JMM has already announced its intention to contest six seats alone, all eyes are now on the Kutumba (United). The RJD’s next move will determine the future of the grand alliance.
