Uttarakhand: AQI worsens, drones spray water at 17 locations in Doon and Rishikesh

Air quality is deteriorating in the state. The Pollution Control Board has begun spraying water using drones at several locations in response to smog and dust. Drones sprayed water at 17 locations in three cities across the state.
In Dehradun, where the AQI was in the satisfactory category for five days, it has reached the moderate category. In Kashipur, the AQI was in the satisfactory category on October 17th, reaching the moderate category on the 18th. Changes have also been observed in Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Rudrapur. Starting Sunday, the PCB sprayed water at nine locations in Dehradun, including the Clock Tower, using three drones, and one drone each in Rishikesh and Kashipur.
Last year, such an effort was only conducted in Dehradun. Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, Member Secretary of the Pollution Control Board, stated that nine drones have sprayed water at 17 locations. This work will continue.
