A tense incident has emerged on the auspicious occasion of Diwali in the ATS Colony on Sahasradhara Road. It is alleged that while children in the colony were lighting firecrackers on park land, builder Puneet Agarwal became enraged. He hurled abusive language and even pulled out a pistol. Given the fear created by the incident, the STS Residents Welfare Association has filed a complaint against the builder with the Raipur Police Station.
According to the complaint filed by association president Ajay Singh, the children were cautiously lighting firecrackers. Meanwhile, builder Puneet Agarwal began abusing and threatening the children to come out of his house. However, the adults in the colony arrived and attempted to pacify the enraged builder. It is alleged that the builder had even loaded his pistol.
Builder Puneet Agarwal has been accused of several previous charges. He had also illegally occupied land belonging to the Municipal Corporation in the Golder Forest in the colony. However, after an investigation, the Municipal Corporation vacated the possession. At the same time, builder Agarwal has been accused of misleading the MDDA and getting the plans for two buildings approved. This has been confirmed in the recent report of the investigation committee formed on the instructions of MDDA Vice President Banshidhar Tiwari.
The builder also submitted a false affidavit to the MDDA in the application for compounding of one building, stating that the part outside the compounding scope would be demolished. However, the construction remains as it was. Meanwhile, the map for the second building was approved by manipulating the setback. For this, a gift deed was used and the road mentioned in the setback of the first building was added to the setback of the second building. Now the sword of cancellation of the map is also hanging over the builder.
