A tragic road accident occurred on Monday morning in the Barkot tehsil area of Uttarkashi district. The driver died on the spot.
Dumper lost control and fell into the river in Uttarkashi
The accident occurred around 4 a.m. on Monday morning. According to reports, a dumper lost control and fell into the Yamuna River, approximately 120 meters below the road, near Jata Naam Tok, near the Naugaon stone crusher. The driver, Jagdeep (30), son of Chain Singh, a resident of Purola, died on the spot.

Upon receiving information, an SDRF team arrived at the scene. The body was retrieved from the Yamuna River and brought to the road. The body has been sent to CHC Naugaon for post-mortem. Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
