A shocking incident has emerged from Dehradun. A 26-year-old woman tragically died a few days after delivery. The family created a ruckus, accusing the hospital administration of gross negligence.

Woman’s tragic death after delivery

The incident occurred at Mother Care, a private hospital in Araghar. According to reports, Jyoti Prajwal (26), a resident of Lakhibagh, gave birth to a son via caesarean section at Mother Care Hospital on January 29th. She was discharged four days after delivery. About ten days after delivery, Jyoti began experiencing persistent abdominal pain.

Referred to Graphic Era Hospital after seeing her condition

Jyoti’s family took her back to the same hospital for evaluation, but even after tests, the doctors were unable to provide a clear explanation. When her condition did not improve, the woman was admitted to Mother Care Hospital about 20 days ago. Later, the hospital administration referred Jyoti to Graphic Era Hospital, where a shocking discovery was made after the operation.

A bandage was left in the abdomen.

Doctors determined that a bandage used during the operation was left in Jyoti’s abdomen. This caused a serious infection, leading to her death. The family alleges gross negligence on the part of the hospital. If proper diagnosis and treatment had been provided promptly, Jyoti’s life could have been saved.

Family members created a ruckus at the hospital

Following the woman’s death, the family members placed her body at Mother Care Hospital and created a ruckus. They accused the hospital administration of negligence amounting to murder and demanded an investigation and action. Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene and calmed the situation. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
