Diwali was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. A world record was set in Ayodhya, the city of Lord Ram, by lighting 5.26 million diyas. Deepotsav was also celebrated at Badrinath Dham. Pilgrims and locals celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm by lighting 11,000 diyas at Badrinath Dham on Diwali.
Badrinath Temple decorated with flowers: The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) made special preparations for the Diwali festival. The BKTC organized a Diwali festival, decorating the Badrinath Temple with 12 quintals of flowers. On the occasion of Diwali, Kubera and Goddess Lakshmi were worshipped at Badrinath Dham, and the treasure of Badri Vishal was also worshipped.
During this time, 56 offerings were offered to Goddess Lakshmi. The courtyard of Badrinath Dham was decorated with ghee lamps and lamps. Special security arrangements were also observed at Badrinath Dham on the occasion of Diwali. Prayers were offered to Lord Badri Vishal for happiness and prosperity.
Deepotsav continues in Kedarnath: On the occasion of Diwali, the Kedarnath temple was decorated with 12 quintals of flowers. The Kedarnath temple was adorned with colorful flowers. A Deepotsav program was organized at Kedarnath Dham with the cooperation of BKTC, pilgrimage priests, and right holders. This Deepotsav will be held from October 20th to 23rd.
Closing dates of Char Dham:
- The doors of Gangotri Dham will close on October 22nd at 11:36 am.
- The doors of Kedarnath Dham will close on October 23rd at 8:30 am.
- The doors of Yamunotri Dham will also close for the winter season on the same day, October 23rd, at 12:30 pm. The doors of Badrinath Dham will be closed on November 25th.
