The Indian team has arrived in Adelaide from Perth for the second ODI against Australia on October 23rd. Trailing 0-1 in the three-match series, the Indian team will be looking to bounce back. The Shubman Gill-led team arrived in Adelaide on Diwali, where the team, especially Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, received a grand welcome at the airport from Indian fans.
Rohit and Kohli playing for India after a long hiatus
Rohit and Kohli returned to international cricket after seven months in the first ODI on October 19th. Both veteran batsmen played for India after 223 days. However, their performance in the first match was disappointing, and Rohit and Kohli could not stay at the crease for even half an hour. Rohit was dismissed for eight runs off 14 balls, including one four. Virat Kohli also departed after Rohit Sharma. Kohli failed to open his account and was caught by Connolly off Mitchell Starc.
