On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the state’s establishment, all police personnel will be awarded special Silver Jubilee Medals. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made four important announcements during the parade at the Police Lines on Tuesday.
Police Memorial Day is celebrated every year on October 21st. It commemorates the 10 CRPF personnel martyred in a treacherous attack by Chinese troops in the snowy mountains of Ladakh in 1959. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the event as the chief guest and made four announcements. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the state’s establishment, all police personnel will be awarded special Silver Jubilee Medals.

In addition, an amount of ₹100 crore will be provided for the construction of residential buildings over three years. Five barracks will be constructed for SDRF personnel, and the Police Welfare Policy has been increased from ₹2.5 crore to ₹4.5 crore.
The program paid tribute to the police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the state this year while performing various duties. His family was honored with financial assistance. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “Our state shares borders not only with international borders, but also with Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.
Our state is extremely sensitive geographically and strategically. Therefore, the role of our police personnel in maintaining peace and security in the state becomes even more important. The police system of any state is the backbone of its security and prosperity.”
