Trump to meet Chinese President in South Korea, US President lashes out at Putin

US President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. He personally announced his trip to these countries on Wednesday. Trump also stated that he would meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea.

The highlight will be his talks with Xi Jinping in South Korea, which Trump’s spokesperson confirmed will take place on October 30th during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

Trump cancels planned summit with Russian President

The US President stated that he has canceled a planned summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that diplomatic efforts have made no progress. He does not want a pointless meeting.

I will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea – Trump

Trump said, “Next week we are going to Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. In South Korea, I will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Our meeting will be quite lengthy. We can work together on many of our questions, concerns, and our vast resources.” We have canceled the meeting with President Putin. This did not seem right to me.

The Trump-Putin summit took place in Alaska in August

This meeting with Putin was canceled after Russia rejected Trump’s proposal for a ceasefire in Ukraine. Last week, Trump announced that he and Putin would meet in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, to discuss efforts to end the war in Ukraine. The two leaders held a summit in Alaska last August.
