Uttarakhand to host second Pravasi Sammelan on November 5; over 600 people registered

November 9, 2025, marks the 25th anniversary of Uttarakhand’s foundation day, and the Dhami government of Uttarakhand is organizing a variety of events to mark this occasion. The government has announced that various programs will be held across the state from November 1st to November 9th. In line with this, the Pravasi Uttarakhand Sammelan is being organized in 2025, similar to the one held in 2024. Over 600 expatriates have registered for this event, scheduled to be held at Doon University on November 5th. Uttarakhand residents living in various states across India and around the world will once again gather in the capital, Dehradun. According to information received from the state government, this conference will be held in two sessions. Visitors from different states and countries will share their experiences and perspectives on Uttarakhand’s 25-year journey. These expatriates will also provide suggestions to the state government to further strengthen the state’s prosperity and economic prosperity. The first session will focus on the environment, while the second will address issues such as education, women’s empowerment, and health in the state. Officials from various departments will be present, along with individuals who have excelled in their respective fields, who will interact with the NRIs. A statement issued by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that this conference is being organized to bring together the NRIs, actively connect them with their homeland, and ensure their participation in the state’s development. “Our experiences with the previous conference have been very encouraging,” he said. “I cordially invite NRIs to this conference, which is being held on the occasion of Uttarakhand’s Silver Jubilee year. The suggestions of NRIs will play a crucial role in developing a roadmap for Uttarakhand’s development. This year, the Dhami government is celebrating Uttarakhand’s Foundation Day as its Silver Jubilee year. The Uttarakhand government is convening a special session on November 3rd and 4th, ahead of the State Foundation Day. During the special session, the ruling and opposition parties will discuss the state’s development, and provide suggestions to brainstorm on a future roadmap. So that Uttarakhand can achieve its place among the best states of the country.
