Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing an election rally in Khagaria district of Bihar on Saturday, said that the Bihar Assembly elections will determine whether the state will return to “jungle raj” or continue on the path of development. Targeting the opposition Grand Alliance, he clarified his government’s policy on the issue of infiltration and reiterated the NDA’s commitment to Bihar’s development. Shah said that no matter how many rallies the opposition holds, every single infiltrator will be identified and sent back to their countries.
“Rahul Gandhi cannot save infiltrators”
Shah attacked the Grand Alliance for opposing the Special Intensive Revision of Voter Lists (SIR). He said, “Every single infiltrator will be identified, their names will be removed from the voter list, and they will be sent back to their countries. Rahul Baba says that infiltrators should be allowed to stay in Bihar. Tell me, should we allow infiltrators to stay? No matter how many rallies he holds or how many “Infiltrators Save the Infiltrators” Yatras he organizes, he cannot save infiltrators.” Our government will single out every infiltrator and expel them from the country. They will be traced and sent back.
‘This election will decide the future of Bihar’
Appealing to the people about the future of Bihar, Shah said, “This election is not about electing someone as MLA, minister, or chief minister. This election will decide whether the ‘jungle raj’ of Lalu-Rabri will return to Bihar, or whether a developed Bihar will establish its identity across the country with the NDA.” He accused the opposition Grand Alliance of corruption and nepotism. Shah said that RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav focused only on the prosperity of his family.
Shah said, “Nitish Babu wants the overall development of the state, while Lalu ji wants his son to be the chief minister, and Sonia Gandhi wants her son to be the prime minister. Therefore, only Narendra Modi ji and Nitish Kumar ji can care about the sons and daughters of Bihar. There is not a single corruption charge against them, whereas Lalu ji has committed countless scams, from the fodder scam to the BPSC scam.”
“Bihar continued to lag behind under Lalu’s rule.”
Recalling the RJD’s rule, Shah said, “During Lalu’s rule, incidents like murder, robbery, ransom, and kidnapping were common. Industry fled the state, leaving Bihar backward.” In contrast, he listed the achievements of the NDA government, saying, “Under Nitish Babu’s leadership, the NDA freed Bihar from ‘jungle raj,’ ended dynasty rule, and, most importantly, eradicated Naxalism.”
Referring to the NDA government’s achievements, Shah said that the government recently deposited ₹10,000 into the accounts of 10 million women associated with Jeevika. He added, “Widow and old-age pensions have been increased from ₹400 to ₹1,100. The honorarium for Asha workers has been fixed at ₹3,000 per month. The dream of a metro system in Patna is now becoming a reality.” Clarifying the NDA’s policies, he said, “Bihar is progressing under the NDA government on these four principles: education in schools and colleges, timely medicine, irrigation in every field, and water supply to every home.”
Shah extended his best wishes on the occasion of Chhath
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievements, Shah said, “The Prime Minister has elevated the country’s economy from 11th place to fourth, and by 2027, India will be the third largest economy in the world.” He also said that the Modi government strengthened the country’s security and neutralized terrorists in their hideouts. Extending his best wishes to the people of Bihar on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparva, Shah said, “I wish that Bihar remains free from ‘jungle raj’, law and order remains strong, sisters and daughters remain safe, and the state continues to progress on the path of development.”
