Police have solved the blind murder case in which a half-burnt body was found in a vacant plot on the side of the highway in Haridwar’s Shyampur police station area on October 18, 2025. The investigation revealed that a love triangle and personal enmity were the motives for the murder.

The Haridwar blind murder case traces back to Udham Singh Nagar
The discovery of the young woman’s body had created an atmosphere of panic in the area. Police began investigating the case, scanning CCTV footage from approximately 300-400 vehicles. A suspicious white container was identified. The truck’s traces led to Udham Singh Nagar, where the disappearance of a woman named Seema Khatoon came into the picture.

The young woman was murdered in this way
The police detained the woman and interrogated her, where she confessed to the entire murder plot. The investigation revealed that on October 17, a fight had occurred between Seema and the accused, Salman. In a fit of rage, Salman and Seema strangled the victim to death. After the murder, the two accused brought the body to Shyampur in a truck, poured diesel on it, and burned it.

A love triangle became the motive for the murder
Police arrested Salman from the Rasiyabad area. The investigation revealed that the primary motive for the murder was a love triangle. The deceased and Salman were in a love relationship, but Salman wanted to marry someone else. This led to tension between Seema and the deceased. The deceased had previously sent Salman’s son to jail in an NDPS case.
