The Uttarakhand government has taken a major step to protect devotees in the Maa Mansa Devi Temple area. For a long time, devotees have been facing difficulties due to landslides on the temple’s walking path. Now, to provide a permanent solution to this problem, the Central Government has approved a proposal to rebuild the path.
Major Central Approval
DM Mayur Dixit stated that this area falls within the Rajaji National Park, requiring permission from the National Wildlife Board for construction. Now that the Board has approved the proposal, the Irrigation Department will begin the reconstruction of the walking path at a cost of approximately ₹1.5 crore.
No Negligence in Work Quality: DM
The DM has instructed departmental officials to ensure that there is no negligence in the quality of work and that construction is completed within the stipulated timeframe. The District Magistrate stated that Maa Mansa Devi is the symbol of faith and identity of Haridwar. Therefore, the protection of this area and the safety of devotees are the administration’s top priorities.
